Everything You Need to Know About Horizon Zero Dawn DLC
Horizon Zero Dawn has finally hit the shelves, and with players around the world diving into Guerrilla Games’ new IP, you may be wondering if there’s additional DLC content hitting shelves sometime too.
So is there more to buy than the base game? Yes and no. There are a number of digital bonuses available to those who pre-ordered the game or bought a special edition. These include stronger outfits and weapons for Aloy, as well as resource packs filled with traps, modifications, and crafting supplies. Let’s take a look:
Pre-Order Bonus Content
Those who pre-order the game from any retailer will receive the Nora Machine Trapper Pack, “a resource pack that includes modifications for your weapon and outfit, and resources for crafting ammo and traps.”
Pre-orders from GameStop will get a couple of digital goodies exclusive to that retailer:
- Nora Lookout Outfit: A unique outfit with enhanced camouflage and an extra modification slot.
- Nora Longshot Bow: A hunting weapon with improved accuracy and an extra modification slot.
And finally, pre-orders from the PlayStation store receive a dynamic Horizon theme.

Can You Buy This Content as DLC?
As of now, no. There’s no way to get these bonuses other than by pre-ordering or purchasing a special edition. Guerrilla Games has also confirmed there will be no micro-transactions within the game.
Is there mission or story Horizon Zero Dawn DLC?
This is also a no for the time being. There has yet to be announced plans for Horizon Zero Dawn DLC down the line, which means everything you can buy (outside of pre-order bonuses and special editions) is right there in your $60 copy.
