Horizon Forbidden West gives players a number of opportunities throughout the main story to shape how Aloy responds in certain situations. She can give heartfelt responses, intelligent retorts or brutal replies that can impact how other characters see her. One of the most significant of these decisions revolves around Horizon Forbidden West’s Regalla choice in the Wings of the Ten mission.
Before we go any further, please note that we’re going to be discussing some relatively late-game spoilers for Horizon Forbidden West. If you’d rather enjoy the game spoiler-free, we advise turning back now.

Right towards the very end of Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy will have to take on Regalla in one of the game’s tougher boss battles. Upon defeating Regalla, Aloy will be faced with yet another choice, should she kill Regalla, putting an end to her reign once and for all, or should she spare her life, showing mercy and hopefully have Regalla return the favor in the fight against the Far Zeniths.
Should You Kill or Spare Regalla in Horizon Forbidden West?
Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter whether you choose to kill or spare Regalla, as her impact on the rest of the story isn’t all that meaningful.
That’s because, during the final mission in Horizon Forbidden West, Regalla will ultimately be killed. While it may spare you from having to take on a few more machines on your road to reach the base, there’s seemingly no other impact the choice has on the story from our experience.
As such, whether you choose to spare or kill Regalla ultimately comes down to how you want your Aloy to act. Is she a ruthless leader who has no time for violent rebels, or is she merciful and sees how useful Regalla could be in the fight against the Far Zeniths? The choice, ultimately, is up to you, but don’t stress about it too much.
Just like that, you’re now that little bit more clued up on how to decide the fate of the Tenakth rebel leader, Regalla, in Horizon Forbidden West. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
