Master Chief has arrived on Xbox consoles and PC just in time for Christmas! Halo Infinite’s campaign released just last week, bringing the latest chapter in the Spartan’s epic adventure to our screens and monitors. If you’ve managed to blast your way through to the end of the campaign and have watched the credits roll, chances are you may be wondering whether or not there’s new game plus in Halo Infinite.
For those unaware, new game plus is a fairly common feature in AAA games nowadays. It allows players to start the adventure over again often with upgrades and items they’d obtained along the way. To balance things out, the enemies you’ll face are often tougher meaning you’ll need to make the most of all those upgrades to reach the end once again.
Halo Infinite New Game Plus Explained
Unfortunately, Halo Infinite does not have a new game plus mode at the time of writing. Further, developer 343 Industries hasn’t announced any form of the mode coming to the game via a post-launch patch in the future.
Instead, once you’ve finished Halo Infinite’s campaign, you’ll be thrown back into the open-world of Zeta Halo. Here, you can continue taking on High Value Targets, rescuing UNSC Marine squadrons, and taking down Banished bases. If you’re looking for other things to do once you’ve beaten the campaign, we’ve got you covered with 10 things to do after beating Halo Infinite here.
With no Halo Infinite new game plus, this does mean that you currently cannot replay missions on the same save file. If you want to experience any of the main story missions again, you’ll need to start a new save and completely start over, losing your Spartan Cores, and any upgrades you’d purchased along the way.
The good news is that developer 343 Industries is looking to allow players to replay missions in Halo Infinite with the release of a patch in the near future, though no specific date for when this will arrive has been provided at the time of writing.
That’s everything you need to know regarding whether or not there’s a Halo Infinite new game plus. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our wiki or see more of our coverage on the game below.
