Wondering how to craft Perks in Guardians of the Galaxy? Fear not, this guide will talk you through everything you need to know to make use of Rocket’s tinkering skills and the various workbenches you’ll find on your adventures through space.
Crafting Perks in Guardians of the Galaxy
Perks can only be crafted at a Workbench found throughout the game. You cannot buy perks through any of the in-game menus in Guardians of the Galaxy.
When using a workbench, available Perks are displayed when you activate it (pressing Triangle/ Y next to it). Each Perk listed will require a set amount of Components or Advanced Components to craft, which can be found scattered throughout levels often in corners of rooms or off the beaten path.
Once you’ve selected the Perk you want to craft by flicking through the menu with the left analog stick/ d-pad, simply press and hold X/ A to get Rocket to craft it for you.
The amount of each crafting Component you currently have is displayed in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Any perk that is grey in color in the list is one that you have the required materials to craft. Any that are red means you don’t have enough of either Component type to unlock yet.
What Do Perks Do?
Perks grant Quill different abilities, such as reducing the Cooldown on Quill’s blasters, scanning enemies during combat with the Visor (R3), or gliding around targets for a short time while shooting with the Air Glide ability. There are plenty more that are both passive and ones you’ll need to manually activate, so choose the ones that best suit your playstyle.
