GTA Online is an online multiplayer mode in Grand Theft Auto V that lets you cause chaos throughout the streets of Los Santos with other players. Before you can dive in, you’ll need to at least do a little bit of the tutorial. Here is everything you need to know about how to complete the tutorial in GTA Online.

The GTA Online tutorial is broken down into three different parts: introductions, missions, and PvP.

Mall or Nothing & Learning the Ropes

The introduction gives you general guidance on racing, picking outfits, and customizing cars at Los Santos Customs. These two missions are called “Mall or Nothing” and “Learning the Ropes.”

Each mission begins automatically. This part can’t be skipped by any means, so you’ll just need to grin and bear your way through it, but it doesn’t take long at all (less than an hour).

After this point, you’ll be given the option to free roam, but the tutorial isn’t actually over yet. The next section goes over the basic mission structure.

Missions and PvP in GTA Online Tutorial

While you’re given the option to skip the mission section of the GTA Online tutorial, it is highly recommended you DO NOT skip this section.

Not only does the mission tutorial provide a lot of helpful information and unique quests, but it also makes it so that you can play with friends later. The only way to resolve this issue is by creating a brand new character from scratch.

If you have no issues with not being able to play with friends, then simply skip it. If you do go through with the missions, it’ll take you anywhere from two to four hours in total to get everything done, ending with the PvP section.

Complete PvP and you’re through the entire tutorial.

How to Complete Tutorial in GTA Online:

  1. Create your character.

  2. Complete Mall or Nothing and Learning the Ropes.

  3. Finish the Misson and PvP sections.

It is recommended you not skip this area if you want to play with friends.

That is everything you need to know about how to complete the tutorial in GTA Online. For more tips, tricks, and FAQ, check out the rest of Twinfinite, which features plenty of other GTA guides.
