Every day in GTA Online, you’ll have to pay your mechanic $50. Failure to do so will result in them not coming to fix your car, not answering your calls at all. This can be pretty problematic if you make a habit of totaling your favorite car by pulling off — or attempting to — death-defying jumps and stunts. In this guide, we’ll be explaining how to pay the mechanic in GTA Online so he can start repairing your wrecks again.
Paying the Mechanic in GTA Online
- Press up on the d-pad.
This will open your phone.
- Go to the Internet Browser
Use your left analog stick to move the cursor on the phone screen.
- Select ‘Money and Services’
You’ll need to withdraw cash from your savings account if you’ve not got enough on you. $1000 minimum is needed in order to pay your mechanic.
- Scroll down the list and select ‘Maze Bank.’
- Select the Withdraw option and ensure you withdraw enough cash so the top number in the upper right-hand corner of your screen is greater than $1000.
It can be any amount, as long as it’s over $1000.
- Wait 30 minutes – 1 hour in the open-world and you’ll automatically pay the mechanic.
You don’t have to select anything else in the options menu, as long as you have the cash available on your character and not in your savings account.
The reason you have to wait between 30 minutes to 1 hour in the open-world is because your mechanic isn’t paid right away. You’ll need to wait until the next in-game day (or 24 in-game hours) which takes around 30 minutes to an hour depending on how far through the day you are.
Once the mechanic has been paid in GTA Online, you can select them from your contacts and call them to have your car repaired.
