As you’d expect from most survival games, you’ve got various meters to keep an eye on so that you can stay alive in Grounded. While hunger and thirst are important, it’s your overall health that is more so. So that you can stay in tip top shape, here’s everything you need to know about how to heal your health in Grounded.

When you come up against bugs like Soldier Ants, or die in another way and respawn, you’ll need to heal. Eating food refills your hunger a little but, unlike in other survival games, it doesn’t heal your health.

How to Heal Your Health in Grounded

To actually heal, you’re going to need to craft bandages. Throughout the game, you’ll be able to craft different ones from different materials, but the basic one is called the Fiber Bandage.

As you can see in the screenshot down below, you’ll need three plant fiber and two sap. You’ll find fiber lying around in the world (it looks like little bits of grass poking out of the ground) and will need to look on branches and wood to find sap. Both resources are pretty common and should be easy to spot.

Then, press the View button, scroll over to the Craft tab, and then look for the healing items underneath Snacks.

Once you’ve collected the required materials and crafted it by pressing A, you should find the bandages in your inventory, so just tab over to that section and use it from there. Then, once you’re back in the game, you should be healed a little bit. Depending on how much damage you took, you might need to use more than one.
