There are five characters that you’ll meet throughout your journey who can become party members. You’ll meet Kurt right at the start of the game and he’ll become your first party member, and you’ll meet the rest over the coming few hours, as part of story/main quests.

You can then choose two to accompany you and they each have different bonuses and fighting styles.

How to Change Party Members (Companions) in Greedfall

When you first meet each of the potential party members, you’ll be given the chance to swap them in for ones you’ve already had. Then, once you’ve unlocked them all, there are a few places that you can go to add them to your team again.

First of all, you’ll be introduced to your Accommodation not long after you first reach Teer Fradee. Here, you’ll find a crafting table and all of your party members waiting for you.

Simply start talking to them and you’ll be able to make changes to your active squad if you want to.

Also, you’ll be able to do the same when travelling between Greedfall’s areas. While travelling, you stop kinda halfway at a camp that allows you to buy and sell items, craft things, and change up your party members.

Once again, just start talking to the one you want to add to your team and you’ll be given the option to swap them in for one of your current companions.

You’ll have an Accommodation in all major cities in Greedfall and will have to travel for pretty much every main quest once you reach Teer Fradee, so you’ll be given the chance to change companions pretty regularly.

In short, there are two ways to change party members.

  1. While travelling between areas, in the camp area.

  2. At your Accommodation in each major city.

That’s everything you need to know about how to change party members (companions) in Greedfall. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
