While Ubisoft hasn’t quite turned Ghost Recon into a full RPG franchise quite yet, there’s still progression mechanics weaved into the gameplay experience. Here we’ll give you the low-down on how to level up your class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and what they actually do for you.
What Leveling Actually Does
In Breakpoint, each class option can progress to a maximum rank of 10. For every level achieved, you’ll earn a reward. Sometimes this will just be an emblem, while other times it will grant you improved abilities in-game.
For example, Assault Proficiency for the Assault class increases accuracy and mobility by 20 while using an assault rifle or shotgun. It’s unlocked at level 6 for that particular class.
How to Level Up a Class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Classes can be leveled by completing challenges around the open-world. These will be themed around the particular class you’re using.
For example, to reach level 3 with the Assault class, you’ll need to get 15 kills with AR or shotgun and one kill while using True Grit, which is that Class’ special ‘Technique.’
You can check what your class challenges are at any time by pressing Options/Menu button and then hovering over your class’ emblem in the top left corner of this screen, just above your primary weapon.
