Sucker Punch Productions’ new title, Ghost of Tsushima, is ripe with small touches and gameplay elements to the point that you might miss a few without realizing. That’s why we’re here to make sure you catch one in particular with a guide on how to bow and show respect in Ghost of Tsushima.
How to Show Respect & Bow in Ghost of Tsushima
Like with its other gameplay mechanics, showing Respect and bowing in Ghost of Tsushima is fairly easy.
Whenever you come across a fallen Japanese soldier, you can swipe down on the Touch Pad to trigger an interaction from Jin. He’ll then take a moment to bow at the soldier’s remains and share a few kind words to the spirit and memory of the soldier, and then be on his way once again.
What Showing Respect and Bowing Does
As for what you get when you bow and show respect in Ghost of Tsushima, the short answer is not a great deal — it’s just a nice touch.
There’s no secret reward or special item you’ll get for showing respect to and bowing in front of every fallen soldier you find. The action is meant to be entirely voluntary and serves more to immerse you further in the setting and culture of the game.
That might be a bit of a downer if you’re a completionist looking to be rewarded for every action you take. If you’re out to step into the role of Jin as thoroughly as possible though, then it’s a nice way to further cement him as an honor-bound defender of his land.
