Nioh – Getting More Gestures

Recommended Videos

Look, everyone wants to be able to express themselves in game with no built-in communication like Nioh. To that end, players will have to rely on gestures in hopes that their co-op partners will understand what they’re saying. Also, they’re just cool. At the start of the game, everyone will be equipped with a default set of gestures. However, it is possible to acquire even more.

There are a couple of emotes that are tied to main mission, and you’ll get these by progressing through the game naturally. There are also a whole slew of optional and missable emotes that are offered as rewards from sub-missions. To check which sub-missions offer these as rewards, simply select the sub-mission itself to see its full rewards list.

Lastly, the rarest and most unique gestures can only be unlocked at the Hidden Teahouse. You’ll gain access to the Hidden Teahouse after completing the first main mission in Kinki. Here, you’ll get to spend Glory points to purchase gear, character skins, and gestures. These are obtained from killing Revenants, so get farming before you unlock the Teahouse.
