Genshin Impact is full of events, quests, and other activities to participate in, but it also contains a few passive gameplay features that don’t fully require your attention. If you’re wondering how to complete Expeditions in Genshin Impact, we’ve got all the details right here.
How to Complete Expeditions in Genshin Impact
Expeditions are passive missions and journeys that you can send your characters on to obtain materials and Mora automatically while you occupy yourself with other things.
To send characters on Expeditions, head to any Adventurer’s Guild located in Mondstadt, Liyue, or Inazuma, then speak to Katheryne. As the guild receptionist, she’ll have a number of dialogue options ready for you to choose from. Select the Dispatch Character on Expedition option from the menu. This will open up a map, allowing you to choose which region to scout in and which items to scout for.
Pick a region, then select a location within the area to scout for items like ore, foods, and even Mora. Each major location in Genshin Impact will net you different rewards at the end of the Expedition, and you can also choose which character to send on the journey. For example, in the image above, I sent Kujou Sara to get Mora, which will take 14 real-world hours to complete.
Certain characters have passive buffs that allow them to scout faster in their home regions. I chose Sara to find Mora in Inazuma because she scouts 25% faster there. The same goes for Fischl in Mondstadt and Chongyun in Liyue, as other examples.
