Genshin Impact: How to Get Electro Crystal

genshin impact, electro crystal

The open-world of Teyvat is littered with hundreds of different collectibles, from precious stones to plant life, many of which are essential components to various alchemy recipes and character/weapon ascensions. Not all of them are easy to find, though, and some even require a special technique to harvest. Here’s how to get Electro Crystal in Genshin Impact.

How to Get Electro Crystal in Genshin Impact

First things first, Electro Crystal is a purple-colored stone you can find in several different locations. Typically, they’re found underneath or on the face of cliffs and canyons. Two areas we recommend searching for them are the Stormterror’s layer (pictured above) and Cape Oath.

The canyon that leads to the Stormterror’s layer is littered with different crystals and is a safe bet for farming Crystal Chunks as well as Electro Crystal.

Cape Oath, meanwhile, is located southeast of Mondstadt (opposite Musk Reef) and is also a good place to look.

For a visual reference of what it looks like, see above. As for how to actually break it, Pyro elemental attacks like Amber or Xiangling’s charged attacks do the trick. Just remember that Electro Crystal will actually shock and damage any character who gets too close.

Once you’ve broken the crystal you can then harvest the material.

Electro Crystals can be used to craft both Insulation Potions and Shocking Essential Oil, which both buff or debuff Electro elemental attacks.
