Genshin Impact’s cooking mechanic allows players to create food that enhances their party with unique buffs, and if you’re looking for either more attack or more defense then there’s one crustation you’re going to need in abundance. Here’s a great crab farming location in Genshin Impact if you’re struggling to find them.

Crab Farming Location in Genshin Impact

As you might imagine, Crabs are found near any source of water across Teyvat, such as rivers, lakes, and the sea. Our favorite crab farming location, though, is definitely the Falcon Coast.

There’s a large stretch of sandy beaches in this area and dozens of crabs hiding both on land and in the shallows. There’s a handy teleport point just north of the beach, and it’s also a short distance from Mondstadt.

In terms of actually catching Crabs in Genshin Impact, it’s a little different from harvesting static resources like plants and minerals. The trick is that the Crabs are pretty quick to run away and bury themselves once they’re spooked, so you need to speedy in your approach.

But you don’t kill the crabs to collect them. Instead, simply picking them up by pressing Square (or the equivalent button on your platform) is enough, so long as you’re quick.

The best technique is just to dash at them and then hammer Square as you go over the top of them until you see the indication that one has been collected.

It shouldn’t take you more than five minutes to bag a whole bunch, and once you’ve got them you can then head to a cooking station to boil the poor critters into something useful.

For reference, it takes three to make Adeptus Temptation (attack and crit damage increase), and four to make Calla Lily Seafood Soup (defense buff). You can find a cooking station just outside Mondstadt.

And that should be everything you need to know about Crab farming locations in Genshin Impact. For more useful tips and guides on the game, check out Twinfinite’s guide wiki.
