As you make your way through Genshin Impact 2.0’s latest content, taking you to the new land of Inazuma, you’re going to come across Electro Barriers (or Thunder Barriers as the game calls them). These are semi-clear forcefields that you cannot walk through, and, unfortunately for us, contain items or quest objectives that we’ll need to interact with. In this guide, we’ll explain how to break Inazuma electro barriers in Genshin Impact, so you can continue on with your questing.
Breaking Electro Barriers in Genshin Impact
To break an Electro Barrier, you’ll need to use the Electrogranum located nearby. You’ll find these purple plants dotted all over the place, so simply go over to one and press F (or the on-screen button prompt on consoles).
Doing so will cause a small purple orb to follow you. When this has appeared, simply walk up to the electro barrier and you’ll be able to pass right through.
Why Won’t It Work?
Some players have reported the electro barrier not letting them through, even after summoning the Electrogranum. If this happens to you, ensure that you have leveled up your Electrograna at the Sacred Tree in the Grand Shrine.
At level 6, your Electrograna will allow you to pass through Intermediate Thunder Barriers, while at level 12, it’ll allow you to pass through Advanced Thunder Barriers.
We’d recommend upgrading it to level 12 as soon as you can, so you don’t have to worry about Thunder Barriers moving forward on your adventure across Inazuma.
