Genshin Impact is one of the most successful free-to-play gacha games on the market right now, and it’s only gotten more popular as MiHoYo has continued to support it with consistent free updates. The latest update adds the brand new Inazuma region with tons of new story content, and there’s even more to look forward to beyond that. Here’s how to get Aloy in Genshin Impact.
Getting Aloy in Genshin Impact
Yep, you read that right. Aloy, the main protagonist of Horizon: Zero Dawn, is getting added to Genshin Impact in update 2.1, which doesn’t have a release date just yet. But if MiHoYo sticks with their update schedule, you can expect the update to drop in about six weeks from now. This means that Aloy will likely get added at the start of September, or somewhere around that period of time.
One thing to note is that PS4 and PS5 players will be able to get her with update 2.1, but mobile and PC players will have to wait for update 2.2. There are no exact dates for Aloy’s release just yet, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as that information becomes available.
The good news is that even though she’s a 5-star character, Aloy will be made completely free to all players as part of the crossover event. Once those updates roll out on the relevant platforms, players who are at least AR20 will be able to claim her just by checking their in-game mail. That’s all there is to it.
She’ll be able to make use of special Cryo abilities, and her weapon of choice is a bow, which should come as no surprise to Horizon fans.
