Bounty Cards – Gears of War 4

Recommended Videos

Bounty cards are a new addition to the Gears of War multiplayer in Gears 4. While they won’t make a difference to your performance or the way you play, they can award you with additional XP or Credits.

In short, bounty cards in Gears of War 4 are very much like Challenges in Call of Duty’s multiplayer. You’ll be tasked with completing specific challenges such as getting 10 executions, 5 assists, or finishing an Execution match with a score of 1500 or more. Completing these will award you with either Credits or XP, depending on what is stated on the card.

One thing that is important to remember about bounty cards is that they are consumable. This doesn’t mean that as soon as you activate one it’ll disappear for good. The card will only be consumed once you’ve completed its requirements. Therefore, if you’re not having much luck with completing one, you can always move to another without worrying you’ll have wasted the previous card.

To use a bounty card, you’ll first want to jump into either the Versus or Horde options from the main menu and head down to Manage Bounties. From here, you’ll be able to see all of the cards available for you to activate. You can only have one active at a time, so pick one that applies to the mode you’re intending to play or one you think you can achieve quickly at your current skill level. After all, if you’re just starting out, it’s not worth picking one that requires you to get an extremely high score.

Once you’ve found the bounty card you want to activate, simply press A to assign it as your active card. You’ll have different bounties for both Horde 3.0 and Versus, so be sure to activate one for each before jumping into the action.
