If you’re finding the campaign of Gears 5 too tough to get through, or too easy for your liking, you’ve probably been trying to figure out how to change the difficulty. Fortunately, we’re here to give you the answers on how to change difficulty in Gears 5.
How to Change Difficulty in Gears 5
Before diving into Gears 5’s campaign, you’ll be given the option to change the difficulty to one of four settings: Beginner, Intermediate, Experienced, and Insane. All four of these options are available for players to choose from the very beginning.
You can change the difficulty by selecting the Difficulty tab in the bottom left corner of the screen, next to the Start Game option.
How to Change the Difficulty During an Active Campaign
Gears 5’s difficulty can likewise be changed during an active game.
To do so, pressing the Menu button, selecting the Options menu and then selecting the Game sub-menu. Here, you’ll find the option to change the difficulty at the very top of the list.
Be warned, though, that if you swap down from the Insane difficulty settings to an easier difficulty, you’ll be locked out of Gears 5’s difficulty-related achievements.
