Frostpunk: How to Change Difficulty

Changing Difficulty in Frostpunk

Recommended Videos

Like most other city-builder games, Frostpunk can present quite the challenge at times. You’ll have to take care of your people when the temperature dips, and you’ll also need to research new technology to increase your city’s efficiency. However, there will be times when the conditions can get a bit too brutal, and small mistakes can easily cost you the game if you don’t have enough resources to deal with the crisis.

In cases like these, you might want to consider lowering the game’s difficulty, or at least adjust the parameters. Do note that you can’t actually adjust the difficulty after you’ve already started the game, so you’ll have to do it from the main menu. Before starting a new game, check the scenario options and you’ll see a meter that allows you adjust between Easy, Medium, and Hard. However, instead of just lowering the difficulty like that, you can also adjust other individual options like the weather conditions and city economy. That way, you can tailor the game to how you like to play. This should make getting through the main scenario much more manageable.
