Forza Horizon 5 gives players a wide variety of options when it comes to which cars to drive. With that said, some cars are better than others. If you’re wondering which ones are the very best options for each main event type, we can help. Here are the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 for drifting, danger signs, dirt, drag, road, and street races.
Best Cars in Forza Horizon 5
There is usually more than one top-tier option when it comes to each of these categories, so I’ll list two great choices for each section. Some may come from DLC packs, so I’ll always throw in at least one that can be obtained through Accolades or spending in-game currency.
Best Road Cars – Bugatti Divo & Koenigsegg Jesko
The Bugatti Divo will set you back 3,000,000 Credits but it boasts a 9.6 speed rating, a 9.9 in handling, a 9.5 for braking, and a 10 for acceleration. The combination of all three of those stats makes this the very best option for road races, which usually feature straights, sharp turns, and traffic to dodge at high speed.
The Koenigsegg Jesko is a slightly cheaper alternative that boasts perfect 10s in both speed and handling and a nine for braking, but only has a 6.9 for acceleration. So, it’s not as good as the Divo overall but will outpace it at top speed. However, the Jesko can be earned for free by completing the Cinema Irrealiste Accolade that tasks you with earning three-star ratings in all chapters of the V10 story in Baja.
Best Street Cars – BMW X5 M Forza Edition & Aston Martin Valhalla
The BMW X5 M Forza Edition is only available as part of the VIP Pack DLC, but its stats are serious. It has 10s in handling, acceleration, and launch, a 9.4 in braking, and 8.0 speed. Hitting tight corners and speeding out of them is what this car does best. That’s exactly what you’ll need in the Forza Horizon 5 street races, making it one of the best cars in the game.
The Aston Martin Valhalla costs 1,150,000 Credits, so it isn’t exactly cheap. But it has 10s in acceleration and launch alongside a 9.2 for handling, a 9.4 for braking, and 8.5 speed. If you’re not willing to put down the real-world money for the VIP Pass, the Valhalla is your next best option when it comes to weaving through tricky streets without sacrificing too much speed.
Best Drifting Cars – Ford “Hoonicorn” Mustang & Hoonigan Ford RS200
The Hoonicorn costs 500,000 Credits and it’s a great option for anything drift-related. Its 9.2 speed and 10 acceleration will have you going in and out of corners at just the right pace without losing too much speed.
The RS200 is the same price as the Hoonicorn, but it has slightly different stats that make it suitable for different situations. It has a lower speed, at 7.8, but its offroad stat sits at 8.3 — as opposed to the Hoonicorn’s 5.5 offroad stat. This makes the RS200 a much better choice if you ever need to drift on roads that aren’t properly paved.
Best Dirt Cars – Hoonigan Ford RS200 & Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
As mentioned above, the Hoonigan RS200’s 8.3 offroad stat mixed with its decent speed and 9.5 acceleration make it perfect for dirt races that can easily have you losing control. This is just another reason to purchase the car, whether it be for drifting or off-roading.
The Evolution X GSR is another solid choice that’s easier to obtain than the Hoonigan RS200 if you’re willing to spend about $4.99 on the Welcome Pack cars. The car has an 8.1 offroad rating, 9.2 acceleration, and 7.1 speed. So, while its stats are a bit lower than the RS200, it’s a good early-game option.
Best Drag Cars – Lamborghini Sesto Elemento & Porsche Taycan Turbo S
The Sesto Elemento can be bought for the hefty price of 2,500,000 Credits, but it’s well worth it if you have enough to spend. This Lamborghini boasts perfect 10s in handling, acceleration, launch, and braking, which is insane. Its speed is only 7.8, but that doesn’t really matter in a drag race when you’re guaranteed to be the first to reach top speed.
For those who would rather spend real money on the game’s Welcome Pack, the Taycan Turbo S can be bought and obtained immediately for $4.99. It has perfect 10s in both speed and launch, with a 9.7 in acceleration. It’s probably the better option for drag races, but only if you’d rather not save up all the Credits needed to buy the Lamborghini.
Best Danger Sign Cars – Koenigsegg Jesko & BMW X5 M Forza Edition
These two cars have already shown up in this guide, but they’re two of the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 for a reason. The danger and jump challenges require speed, and the Jesko has a perfect 10 in that stat. And its 6.9 acceleration and 7.4 launch are good enough complimentary stats to help get those three-star scores.
Once again, the X5 M Forza Edition comes in the VIP Pack. It only has an 8.0 in speed, but with its 10s in handling, acceleration, and launch, you’ll be acing those danger sign challenges with little issue.
There you have it. That’s everything you need to know about the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 for drifting, danger signs, road races, street races, dirt races, and drag races.
