The following information comes thanks to iFireMonkey over on Twitter who datamined and shared the information earlier this morning.

Over the coming days, prior to the official release of the Fortnite week 12 challenges at 9:00am ET/ 2:00pm GMT on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, we’ll be updating this guide with everything you’ll need to know to complete all of the week 12 challenges. Each of the location-based guides will have separate guides for which will be linked in below.

All Fortnite Week 12 Challenges

Below, you’ll find a breakdown on how to complete each of the week 12 challenges.

Hit an Opponent Within 10 Seconds of Zero Point Dashing (5, 10, 15, 20, 25)

To Zero Point Dash, simply press jump while you’re already in the air after consuming a Zero Point Crystal.

Zero Point Crystals can be found around Zero Point Shards in the desert area at the center of the map, marked on the map above. You can either find crystals on the floor by shards, or you can get them to drop by damaging a shard with your pickaxe.

A lot of players should be around here anyway at the start of a match while the challenges are still relatively new, so finding opponents to deal damage to once you’ve dashed shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Deal Damage Within 15 Seconds of Gliding (200) – Fortnite Week 12 Challenges

You can either grind this out over a few games by dealing damage within 15 seconds of landing at the start of a match and landing at busy named locations, or you can use Rift Fish to move to busy areas of the map as the game progresses.

This is one you’ll likely naturally unlock if you’re playing regularly, so don’t sweat it too much.

Visit Scenic Spot, Gorgeous Gorge and Mount Kay

We’ve marked all three locations you need to visit on the map below.

Destroy Inflatable Tubemen Llamas at Gas Stations (3) – Fortnite Week 12 Challenges

There are gas stations at Lazy Lake, Catty Corner, and in the southeast corner of the desert area in the center of the map.

Inflatable Tubeman Llama Locations in Fortnite

Each of these locations has an inflatable tubeman llama that can be destroyed to complete the challenge. For a complete breakdown check out our guide.

Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck

The Family Portrait can be found by the green capsized boat in the cove just south of Catty Corner and Mount Kay. We’ve marked the location on the map below.

The blue marker indicates where to find the Family Portrait in Fortnite

You’ll find the portrait on the floor next to the capsized boat and some wooden crates.

The Family Portrait will be where the dark shadow is on the ground next to the crate.

Throw a Fish Back in to the Water – Fortnite Week 12 Challenges

To throw a fish back into water, either fish one out from a fishing spot with a fishing rod or harpoon gun, or otherwise obtain one from a freezer or dropped loot.

Next, select the fish from your inventory, and then press and hold L2/LT/ RMB and aim at the water. Now press R2/ RT/ LMB and you’ll throw the fish back into the water. Easy!

Hit Different Opponents with a Harpoon Gun (3)

Harpoon guns can be found in fishing rod barrels, chests, supply llamas, and as floor loot. We advise landing at Craggy Cliffs, Coral Castle or Dirty Docks as there are plenty of fishing rod barrels here.

Once you’ve got a Harpoon Gun, find an opponent and try and creep up on them. Fire the Harpoon Gun at them when you’re relatively close to them, and then quickly switch to another weapon to finish them off. Do this to three different opponents to complete the challenge.

Catch Different Weapon Types from Fishing Spots (3) – Fortnite Week 12 Challenges

Fishing Spots are the rippling pools you’ll occasionally see in the water, shown in the screenshot below.

You can catch weapons as well as fish from Fishing Spots with a Harpoon Gun or a Fishing Rod. Simply catch three different weapon types, such as a Shotgun, Assault Rifle, and a Pistol and you’ll tick this challenge off.

That’s all you need to know on the Fortnite week 12 challenges. Now go level up that Battle Pass! For more on the game, be sure to check out our Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 wiki.
