With Season 8 now officially underway, the Fortnite week 2 challenges have dropped. There’s not a whole lot that’s tricky in this week’s set, but we’ll break down a few tips and tricks to help you complete all Fortnite Season 8 week 2 challenges with ease.

What the Challenges Are

As we always do around here at Twinfinite, we’ve included a quick screenshot of the challenge list from within the game itself down below. That way, you know you’re dealing with the real deal, and not some fake list that’s being passed off as a list.

As you can see, the Fortnite week 2 challenges in Season 8 are pretty straightforward, with only one of them requiring you really go out of your way to complete. So, without further ado, let’s break down how to complete the Fortnite week 2 challenges easily.

Tips to Complete the Fortnite Week 2 Challenges Fast

Free Pass Week 2 Challenges

  • Eliminations in Salty Springs or Haunted Hills (3)
  • Deal damage to descending supply drops (200)
  • Stage 1: Land at The Block
    • Stage 2: Land at Dusty Divot
    • Stage 3: Land at Polar Peak
    • Stage 4: Land at Snobby Shores
    • Stage 5: Land at Paradise Palms

Fortnite Battle Pass Week 2 Challenges

  • Search a chest in different named locations in a single match (3)
  • Deal damage to opponents with a pirate cannon (100)
  • Stage 1: Gain Health from Consuming Apples (25)
    • Stage 2: Gain Health from Med Kits
  • Visit the furthest north, south, east and west points of the island

The first thing we’d advise you doing for the week 2 challenges in Fortnite Season 8 is to make good use of Party Assist whenever you get the chance. This enables you to have your teammates’ efforts contribute towards your own progress on challenges.

It’s worth noting that Party Assist can only be enabled on one challenge at a time, and this can be done by heading to the ‘Challenges’ tab, finding the one you need a hand with, and then selecting the Party Assist option when pressing A/X/ clicking on it.

The first of the Fortnite Season 8 week 2 challenges requires players to deal damage to opponents with a pirate cannon. Pirate Cannons can be found at various different locations around the map, and we’ve got a complete list of these here.

The other two free pass challenges for week 2 don’t require a whole lot of explanation. Apples can be found on the floor underneath the trees with the rounder, leafy tops. For the other challenge, simply land at the different named locations listed above and you’ll have it done in no time.

When we move onto the Season 8 week 2 challenges in Fortnite’s Battle Pass, things get a little bit trickier. The first requires you to search a chest in different named locations in a single match.

We recommend heading to either the northwest or southwest sections of Fortnite’s map. Not only are these generally a little quieter than some other spots, but they’ve got a number of named locations packed closely together.

Hitting Junk Junction, The Block, Haunted Hills, Pleasant Park, Loot Lake, and Lazy Lagoon should be achievable if you’re quick enough and the circle is kind to you.

Eliminations in Salty Springs or Haunted Hills is simple, just head straight to these spots to find plenty of players to duke it out with, as they aim to also complete the challenge.

Dealing damage to descending supply drops in Fortnite isn’t all that difficult either. Look out for the large yellow balloons and listen out for the air-whooshing noise as they begin to spawn and descend onto the map. Assault rifles are best for this, as they have decent range and can fire multiple rounds in quick succession.

Finally, you’ll need to visit the furthest north, east, south, and west points on Fortnite’s map. We’ve got a guide complete with images and a map to help you track these down with ease here, so give it a look.

That’s all you need to know to complete the Fortnite week 2 challenges in Season 8. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the Pirate-themed season, be sure to check out our Fortnite Season 8 guide wiki.
