How to Craft a Mechanical Bow in Fortnite

To craft a Mechanical Bow, you’ll need to have a Makeshift Bow and four Mechanical Parts in your Inventory.

Next, open your Inventory by pressing I on PC or pressing up on the d-pad on consoles.

Tab over to the ‘Crafting’ window and then select your Makeshift Bow from the inventory.

You should now see ‘Mechanical Bow’ appear as a crafting option, showing the Makeshift Bow and four Mechanical Parts required under ‘Crafting Ingredients.’

As long as you’ve got the Makeshift Bow and Mechanical Parts, select the Mechanical Bow and press X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, Y on Switch and E on PC to craft the item.

This will remove your Makeshift Bow from your inventory and deduct four Mechanical Parts from your collection.

What Does a Mechanical Bow Do?

The Fortnite Mechanical Bow is a more powerful bow than the Makeshift and Primal Bows. It takes longer to charge up, but can deal more damage in the process.

The Mechanical Bow can also be upgraded to a Shockwave, Explosive, and Flame variant with the proper materials.

To complete the upcoming week 2 challenges, you’ll also need to craft a Mechanical Shockwave Bow and Mechanical Explosive Bow. Check out both of our guides for tips on how to complete these challenges.
