What Omni Chips Are Used For

As you might’ve guessed, the Omni Chips are used to unlock different styles for the Omni Sword. This is similar to feathers used to unlock Haven masks in Chapter 3 Season 1. The difference this time is that you don’t need to do in-match challenges to gain the ability to unlock different Omni Sword styles, you just need the required amount of chips.

You are able to unlock styles that change:

  • Blade
  • Guard
  • Color
  • Swing Sound

How to Get Omni Chips

Chips are currently available through two methods. Going into your quests menu you’ll see a section for Omni Sword. There are currently three quests that each require you to collect three different chips at a specific location on the map. You’ll need to visit Mighty Monument, Logjam Lumberyard, and Greasy Grove. We have more information in a guide on map changes in the new season.

The second way to get chips is through bonus goals that require you to do a set number of season quests. It seems that every four season quests completed earns you two Omni Chips.

At present, these will be your only method of earning chips until more challenges are added in a little under 10 days.

In total, if you want to unlock every single Omni Sword style you will need 184 chips.
