Fortnite Family Portrait Location: Where to Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck (Season 5 Week 12 Challenge)

The Fortnite Family Portrait is an item that you’ll need to collect from somewhere on the map to complete one of the week 12 challenges. While the challenge itself hints that we need to “Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck,” there aren’t a ton of shipwrecks on Fortnite’s map which are all that visible. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find a Family Portrait in Fortnite.

The Family Portrait can be found by one of the small wooden boats in the very southeast corner of the map. It’s in the little cove just south of Catty Corner itself. We’ve marked the exact location on the map below.

Once you arrive here, look out for the green capsized boat. Walk over to this and you’ll find a gold-framed family portrait lying on the ground next to it. Simply press X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, Y on Switch or E on PC to pick it up.

That’ll complete the challenge and earn you 20,000 XP in the process. It’s worth noting that the portrait hasn’t shown in the images in this post, as the challenges haven’t gone officially live at the time of writing. However, we know this to be the correct location, as you can see the family portrait’s shadow on the sand.
