One of the new gameplay features in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 are Bounties. These task players with eliminating a particular player somewhere within a marked area on the map. The problem is, you need to trigger these in order to get them, and you’ll also need to complete five bounties for one of the week 1 challenges. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to get and complete Bounties in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5.

How to Get Bounties in Fortnite

To do this, you’ll want to seek out one of the various different NPCs that’ll be standing around at different named locations. While some characters like Fishstick can be found in Craggy Cliffs, they don’t always offer Bounties. We’ve marked the locations of all of the vendor NPCs in Fortnite we’ve found so far below:

You’ll know you’re nearby an NPC that can give out a Bounty when you see a speech mark with “…” in it, as shown in the screenshot below.

Once you’ve found one of these NPCs, don’t shoot them as they’ll shoot back. Instead interact with them by pressing X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, E on PC or Y on Nintendo Switch.

You’ll then get a small semi-circular menu wheel appear at the bottom of the screen. You’ll have a number of different things you can buy with Beskar Ingots here, but you’ll also find one option that’s a Bounty.

Select the Bounty option and press A/X/B/ LMB. You’ll then be told you need to eliminate a particular player in the game.

You’ll also have a yellow circle marking their rough location on the map to help you track them down.

Completing Bounties

To complete a Bounty, all you need to do is then eliminate that player within the match. Doing so will net you a load of Beskar Ingots which can then be spent by speaking to those same NPCs that give out Bounties and selecting the rare weapon they’ll give you.

That’s everything you need to know on completing Fortnite Bounties. For more tips, tricks and guides, head on over to our guide wiki or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
