Can You 1v1 in Fortnite Battle Royale?

Recommended Videos

As the Battle Royale name suggests, Fortnite sees you and 99 others fight it out to be the final one standing. Whether you’re on your own, part of a pair, or a squad of up to four, you collect weapons and battle each other to the death. However, you may be wondering if you can fight each other 1v1, in a private match of sorts. Here’s everything you need to know.

While you cannot set up a private match exactly, meaning you can’t play a match that is strictly 1v1, you can try to tinker with the match types that are already available. If you both try to join a match at the same time, you may end up being part of the same game. If you do manage to do so, you could try to land in the same area of Fortnite’s map and fight it out from there; there’s just no guarantees that no one is going to interrupt you. It isn’t a 1v1 match exactly, but it’s the best you’re going to be able to do in Fortnite Battle Royale for the time being.

That’s all you need to know about playing 1v1 in Fortnite Battle Royale. For more on the game, check out our wiki guide.
