What’s likely tripping you up here is where the abandoned mansion actually is in Fortnite. After all, there could arguably be a couple. There’s the old house to the west of Pleasant Park, but that’s not where you want to go.
Instead, the abandoned mansion location is actually the superhero house on the far east side of the map by Lonely Lodge. Just to the south of the main lodge itself, you’ll find a house that was once filled with superhero lair-like objects. Probably to help protect the land from the villain’s lair and rocket silo that appeared a few seasons back.

Once you get to the mansion on the far east side of Fortnite’s map, you can’t just dance anywhere. Head inside and start making your way down to the basement. Here, you’ll find a dance floor, divided by some large scoreboards. Once you’re both in place, you’ll begin earning points for dancing on the squares that light up on your side of the dance floor.
Use any dance emote you like, but make sure you’re dancing on the lit-up squares, otherwise you won’t earn any points. It appears the amount of time you’ve got to rack up points in this little competition is on a timer, but usually, one player reaches about 50 points or so by the time it ends. Make sure you get the lead, and capitalize on any mistakes your opponent makes in order to win the dance off.
You don’t have to win to complete the ‘Compete in a dance off in an abandoned mansion’ challenge in Fortnite Season 7, but there’s always some pride at stake, right?
