Fire Emblem Three Houses allows you to play around with a ton of weapon types, but there are a select handful that are even more powerful than usual. Here’s how to get the Lance of Ruin in Fire Emblem Three Houses.
How to Get the Lance of Ruin in Fire Emblem Three Houses
About partway through the first act of the game, you’ll be tasked with taking down Miklan of House Gautier. At the end of the mission, you’ll receive the Lance of Ruin, and you’ll get to present it to Lady Rhea back at the Monastery.
If you want to keep the Lance of Ruin, you’ll need Sylvain to be in your roster. When faced with the choice of returning or keeping the weapon, you can choose to keep the weapon, and Sylvain will show up to reclaim it for himself.
With Sylvain in your roster, this means that the Lance itself will be yours to keep as well, though it’s worth noting that he’s the only character in the game who can actually use it. Do be warned that you’ll need rare materials to repair the weapon, and durability cannot be restored simply by resting like with the Sword of the Creator.
Keeping the Lance of Ruin When Not in the Blue Lions
If, however, you did not choose the Blue Lions at the start of the game, you’ll have to work a bit harder to recruit Sylvain and add him to your roster.
The good news is that if you’re playing as female Byleth, Sylvain will join your class without needing you to meet his usual stat requirements. But if you’re playing as male Byleth, you’ll need to level up your lance and riding skills to court him.
