Smithing Stones, therefore, are paramount to your adventure. Here’s how to get Smithing Stones in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

What Are They Used For?

Smithing Stones are an obtainable item that are used for forging and repairing weapons at the Blacksmith.

All basic weapons like Iron and Steel variants require a Smithing Stone in order to repair or forge them. Meanwhile, the Sword of the Creator requires Umbral Steel in order to recharge it.

How to Get Smithing Stones in Fire Emblem: Three Houses

  • Random Pickups Around the Monastery
  • Weekly Group Task Rewards
  • Bought from the Southern/Eastern merchants at the Marketplace

These can only be obtained from either random pickups in the Monastery, or as a reward for completing a Weekly Group Task. Each week, you’ll have to assign two students to improve either their Heavy Armor, Flying, or Riding skill. If both students work well together, you’ll get a Perfect proc, which rewards you with five Smithing Stones. If you get a Good proc, you’ll get three.

Once you unlock the Southern and Eastern merchants at the Marketplace, you can purchase Smithing Stones from them as well.

How to Use Smithing Stones to Forge & Repair Weapons in Fire Emblem: Three Houses

As mentioned above, these stones are used to forge and repair weapons in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. To do this, you’ll need to go to the Blacksmith and choose the Forge or Repair options to upgrade or… repair your weapons.

Next, select the weapon you want to upgrade or repair, and as long as you’ve got the required Smithing Stones, you’ll be all set to use them in whichever process you choose.
