How Many Chapters There Are in Fire Emblem Cindered Shadows

There are a total of seven chapters in the Cindered Shadows Side Story. We’ve listed all of them down below, but do be warned that some of the chapter titles could contain minor spoilers, so look away if you want to go in completely fresh:

  1. The Fourth House
  2. What Lies Beneath
  3. The Rise of Rising
  4. Danger in the Dark
  5. Betrayal
  6. Return to Me
  7. Wolf Pack

How Long It Takes to Beat

While seven chapters doesn’t sound like a whole lot, you’ll need to keep in mind that the battles in the DLC are a little tougher and more challenging than what you might be used to in the base game. On Normal difficulty, we took about 45 minutes to an hour (sometimes a little bit more due to Game Overs and retries) to clear a chapter.

By the time we reached the end on Normal-Classic, we clocked in at a little over eight hours of playtime.

It’s also worth noting that this DLC is pure combat with little bits of exploration in between. After each major battle, you’ll get to explore Abyss for a while and talk to all relevant NPCs, while repairing your weapons and purchasing items.

There are no support conversations to be had in the DLC, nor will you have to spend time conducting lectures and leveling up individual stats.

That’s all you need to know about how many chapters there are in Fire Emblem Cindered Shadows and how long it takes to beat. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game. If you’re wondering how to unlock Abyss or start the actual DLC itself, we’ve got you covered as well.
