How to Equip Items in Fire Emblem Echoes
Like other games in the series, Fire Emblem Echoes lets you outfit your army however you want, maximizing their attack power in battle. Items do function a little differently this time around, however, as you can only equip one on any given unit at a time.
Items have wildly varying effects in Fire Emblem Echoes, from restoring health with food to boosting attack power or granting special abilities. Of course, you’ll want to make sure your entire army is sufficiently equipped before heading into battle. While on the world map, in a dungeon or town, or before battle you’ll want to bring up the menu. From here, you can select Inventory to see what each of your units is equipped with. By clicking on a unit you’ll bring up a number of options like Convoy, Swap, and Store.
Convoy will let you bring one item out of your storage to equip on the unit, while swap will instantly switch the equipment of two characters, and store puts whatever you have selected into the convoy. Take a close look at each of your unit’s stats and decide which piece of equipment or weapon would best suit them. It might not be a bad idea to give some food to your weaker characters as well, so they can heal themselves if cut off from the party in battle.
