Getting the Graveyard Key in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

As you’re progressing through the main story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you’ll eventually meet Aerith, who takes you to the Sector 5 slums through the backstreets. While going through the backstreets, though, you might come across a locked gate next to the slums themselves. This is the graveyard, and to access it, you’ll need the Graveyard Key.

There isn’t much to do at the graveyard itself, but it is a key location for a couple of side quests that you’ll unlock along the way. To get the Graveyard Key, simply follow Aertih and progress through the story until you reach the kids’ secret hideout, where you’ll meet Moggie, a kid dressed like a Moogle who runs the Moogle Emporium shop.

If you’ve been collecting Moogle Medals up to this point, this is where you can finally cash in for some rewards. Talk to Moggie to check out his inventory, and you’ll find the Graveyard Key available for just one Moogle Medal. Pick it up, and you’ll now be able to access the area.

Again, though, there’s not really much point in just going to the graveyard for fun. You’ll be required to head on over there while doing side quests in the Sector 5 slums, and later on, when you unlock more side quests in chapter 14, and that’s pretty much it.

To recap, here’s how to get the Graveyard Key in Final Fantasy 7 Remake:

  1. Progress through the story until you find the kids’ secret hideout near the Sector 5 slums.

  2. Talk to Moggie and buy the Key for one Moogle Medal.
