What Are Winter Wildcard Tokens?

Winter Wildcard Tokens are essentially low-rated player cards that can be exchanged via one of a number of SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) for high-value packs to open and (hopefully) bolster your squad.

Getting Winter Wildcard Tokens in FIFA 22

To get Winter Wildcard Tokens, you need to complete daily and weekly objectives, squad building challenges, and one can be purchased in a pack from the FUT Store. The objectives that award these tokens can be found within the ‘Objectives’ tab within the Ultimate Team game mode menus.

You’ll know which of these challenge reward these tokens upon completion as they’ll be listed in their description. For example, at the time of writing, the following objectives grant Winter Wildcard Tokens in FIFA 22:

You can exchange the Winter Wildcard Tokens you’ve earned for the following packs by placing them into their respective SBCs:

  • Rare Players Pack: 2 Tokens
  • 10x 81-89 Player Pack: 3 Tokens
  • Ultimate Pack/ Icon Home & Away Kits: 5 Tokens
  • Christian Gunter – 87 OVR: 8 Tokens
  • Patson Daka – 85 OVR: 12 Tokens
  • 10x 85+ Player Pack: 15 Tokens

When Does FIFA 22 Winter Wildcard End?

The Winter Wildcard promotion will end on Jan. 14, 2022. At this point, the SBCs will no longer be available and any Winter Wildcard Tokens you’ve got will be worthless.

Make sure you’ve spent them before Jan. 14 so they don’t go to waste.
