What Are Points & Coins?

Coins are a currency used in FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode. They can be used to purchase cards from the Transfer Market, as well as Packs from the in-game store. They technically do not have a real, monetary value.

FIFA Points are a microtransaction ‘premium’ currency that can be used to purchase packs from the in-game store and Draft Tokens. They have a real, monetary value.

Can You Transfer FIFA Points from FIFA 21 to FIFA 22?

The good news is that yes, you can transfer your FIFA Points balance from FIFA 21 Ultimate Team into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Upon logging into the Ultimate Team game mode for the first time on FIFA 22, you’ll be automatically asked if you’d like to transfer your remaining balance.

Simply select the option to do so and the game will briefly load before bringing over your Points balance from FIFA 21. You’ll now be able to spend them on packs to give your new Ultimate Team a bit of a head start.

While EA Sports does allow players to transfer their Points balance to the new game each year, they don’t allow you to transfer your Coins into the new game.

As such, we’d recommend spending any leftover coins you’ve got in FIFA 21 before moving onto FIFA 22. Even if you’re not going to be using your team anymore, at least you can have some fun doing some pack openings for the last time.
