FUT Birthday is nearing its end in FIFA 20 but the player SBCs are still coming out. This one, called Oldie but Goldie, features two of the most OP cards in Ultimate Team history. Esswein and Gervinho’s base gold cards were incredible back in the day. In case you want to add one of them to your squad, here’s everything you need to know about how to complete the Oldie but Goldie SBC in FIFA 20 to get Flashback Gervinho or Esswein.
Both cards are alright. There’s both quick, but they’re a little different in other ways. Esswein is incredibly strong, but lacks in the agility department, where Gervinho is excellent.
Elsewhere, Esswein’s shooting is actually a little below par, while Gervinho is let down in places like Composure. Also, both have 3-star weak foot and skill moves, which is disappointing.
They’re both good cards, if unspectacular, but Gervinho is probably the better option. At about 60k coins though, it might be worth doing the SBC for the one you want, since you can only pick one. Here are the Oldie but Goldie SBC requirements.

How to Complete Oldie but Goldie SBC in FIFA 20 (Flashback Gervinho & Esswein)
The best thing to do is to build a squad from one of the major leagues in FIFA 20. For 84 rated squads, it’s probably best to go for La Liga or Bundesliga.
The likes of Sommer, Burki, Havertz, Javi Martinez, Jerome Boateng, or Tah are good from the Bundesliga, and there are loads of players in La Liga that work, especially Spanish strikers like Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata.
However, I’d recommend you opt for as many 84 rated players as possible, avoiding the high rated cards. All 86 and higher players have become very expensive due to the likes of the mid-Icon SBC and FUT Birthday Party Bag SBC that have been released over the last few weeks.
Also, since you need Bundesliga players anyway, it might be best to stick to that league, so that you’re avoiding chemistry issues.
Be sure to also use TOTW players from the active FIFA 20 squad when you need them in the Oldie but Goldie SBC, since they’ll stay cheaper by being actively packed.
