Far Cry New Dawn: How Much It Costs

Far Cry New Dawn, how much it costs

How Much Does Far Cry New Dawn Cost?

Recommended Videos

Far Cry New Dawn is a direct sequel to last year’s Far Cry 5, which is a first for the franchise. Usually, each new installment in the Far Cry franchise is its own self-contained story but New Dawn takes places seventeen years after the events of Far Cry 5 in good ole Hope County, Montana. How much does Far Cry New Dawn cost though?

Players will immediately realize that this is a very different Montana from the one they explored just last year. After a nuclear bomb dropped, all hell broke loose and you’re now tasked with taking down some new foes. Exploring this new wasteland is filled with secrets to uncover, weapons and loot to find, and a story to unfold.

Far Cry 5 was a $60 price tag at launch, however, Far Cry New Dawn only costs $40 across all platforms. This was the same pricing model as Far Cry Primal, which was a spinoff game that was released just a year after Far Cry 4.

The game will eventually go on sale, so the price is always subject to change, but currently, it has a $40 price tag, which is great for fans of the series.

The reason behind the $40 price tag is because it is actually slightly smaller than Far Cry 5. So it wouldn’t be fair to sell a smaller game for the same price.

There is plenty to do in the game and it’s great to be able to explore a newly imagined Hope County, Montana. The post-apocalypse makes for some extremely imaginative weapons and vehicles, so it’s sure to be a wild ride.

If you’re thinking about picking up this game, you can read our preview here and decide if it’s worth your $40. So that’s everything you need to know about how much Far Cry New Dawn costs.

Far Cry New Dawn is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out our Far Cry New Dawn Wiki.
