How to Get All Guns for Hire in Far Cry New Dawn

Recommended Videos

Far Cry New Dawn provides players with a fresh batch of allies to enlist to their cause. For those intent on finding them all, we’re here to help with a guide on how to get all of the Guns for Hire in Far Cry New Dawn.

Found scattered throughout the post-apocalyptic Hope County, the Guns for Hire are special ally characters that can help the player rise up against the villains out to use the land and its people for their own means.

Each has their own fighting style and abilities that help them stand out in combat, from the lovable canine Timber’s ability to spot and mark points of interest to the elderly sniper Nana’s deadly precision with a rifle.

Not all of them will be offered to the player so easily however. Most of the Guns for Hire need to be tracked down and recruited from certain areas, or enlisted after completing certain missions.

To that end, we’ve compiled a list of all of the Guns for Hire we’ve come across and what it took to recruit them. Note that we will update entries as we figure out the process more completely, and add in entries for new Guns for Hire as we find them.

Carmina Rye

Carmina Rye, the daughter of the Gun for Hire Nick Rye from Far Cry 5, is the first ally players can enlist. She will join the player automatically at the start of the game.

Pastor Jerome

A Gun for Hire from Far Cry 5 who survived the nuclear apocalypse, Pastor Jerome is unlocked later in the game and is only available after reaching the mission “Jerome Comes Home.”

Players need only complete this mission for him to join them as a Gun for Hire.

Hurk

A recurring character in the series since Far Cry 3, Hurk is another Gun for Hire from Far Cry 5 who managed to survive the nuclear apocalypse. He can be recruited after completing the mission “Days of the Blunder.”

Timber

Far Cry: New Dawn’s canine companion equivalent to Far Cry 5’s Boomer, Timber joins the player after they rescue him from being eaten in the mission “Man Eat Dog World.”

Kill his would-be predators and complete the mission, and he’ll happily join your side.

The Judge

Like Carmina, The Judge is given to the player as a Gun for Hire automatically as part of the main story. Play through the game and complete the mission Joseph’s Secret in Act 2 to unlock them as an ally.

Horatio

Another animal companion available for recruitment in Far Cry New Dawn, Horatio is unlocked as a Gun for Hire after completing the mission “To Love a Boar.” The mission is given to players by an NPC at the Pantry outpost.

Nana

This elderly sniper can be recruited after completing the Crow’s Feet, Eagle Eyes mission, given to the player by an NPC at the Signal Point outpost. She’ll be available to join your ranks after the mission has concluded.

That’s all for now on how to get all the guns for hire in Far Cry New Dawn. For more on the game, check out our Far Cry New Dawn guide wiki fro everything you could need to know about the game.
