All Ritual Mask Locations in Fallout 76
While it’s a purely cosmetic item, the ritual mask in Fallout 76 is one of the most badass looking pieces of headgear in the game. Equip it to scare players first emerging from Vault 76, or during your late-night praising of the infamous Mothman. Here’s how to get the ritual mask in Fallout 76.
Lucky Hole Mine
This deep, dark, spooky mine is located in the Savage Divide. Surviving the journey to this ritual mask location could be tough without a higher level teammate or a large supply of stimpaks. Be sure to bring enough supplies in general, too, as this mine (and accompanying story) goes down a long way.
Lucky Hole Mine is the Fallout 76 version of the creepy Dunwich building you might remember from Fallout 3. Like Dunwich, this mine has seen its fair share of supernatural worship inspired by Lovecraft stories.
As you worm your way down you’ll find the remains of sacrificial rituals, demonic cult handiwork, and finally the main altar room.
However, the ritual mask you seek is not in this final altar room, but in a hidden “secret room.” Upon entering this main location you’ll be faced with three directions you can go next: down a large tunnel, up a metal staircase, or through a narrow passageway. Head down the narrow passageway and be mindful of the right-hand wall.
You will very quickly notice a small opening that’s partially obstructed by a plant (and marked with a candle on the ground). This opening leads to a now even smaller passageway (try not to get claustrophobic!) that will wind its way to a large room with a computer console– on top of which will be the ritual mask!
Finding the ritual mask in this location is definitely a lot more work than the other spawn point we’ll cover next, but there are all kinds of other secrets to find as you make your way down Lucky Hole Mine.
In addition to the mysterious notes and Lovecraftian horrors, you can find a pair of cultist blades on one of the larger altars along the way.
Mothman Museum Basement
This location of the Ritual Mask will spare you the treacherous trip to the Savage Divide, but it also requires a lockpick skill of 2 to access (or a special key from a different location– more on that below).
To find the Mothman Museum you’ll need to head to Point Pleasant, conveniently indicated by the large “MOTHMAN MUSEUM” text on Fallout 76’s in-game map. The Museum is located in the center of town, and the entrance requires level 1 lockpick skill to enter.
Once inside, you’ll need to unlock the restroom door located at the back of the ground-floor room.
This door can only be unlocked with a level 2 lockpick skill or with the “Bathroom Key” located in a home near Wilson Brother’s Auto Repair. This home is not too far from either Point Pleasant or Vault 76, and the key is definitely a lot easier to obtain than leveling up your lockpick skill.
Once inside the little house up the hill from Wilson Brother’s Auto Repair, the key you’re looking for will be laying on a metal desk by a Mothman poster. Don’t forget to head to the basement to grab the ritual bindings to complete the ritual mask set!
Now that you’ve made it inside the bathroom of the Mothman Museum, you’ll pass around a wooden screen and down steps to the basement of the building. As you might’ve expected, accessories from the mysterious cult of Mothman fill the room. You can find the ritual mask on (or on the ground in front of) one of the effigies surrounding the altar.
