How to Evolve Lickitung Into Lickilicky in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

One of the most beloved aspects of the original Gen 4 Pokemon games is that they went back and added evolutions to otherwise obscure ‘mons. Perhaps one of the strangest of the original 151 is Lickitung, a Pokemon with a giant tongue that you could only receive via trade and it had to be named MARC. The first-gen was an interesting time… Anywho, in this guide we’re going to go over how you can evolve Lickitung into Lickilicky in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Lickitung’s most defining feature is its giant tongue. Compared to fire-breathing dragons, genetically engineered robot bugs, and the literal Poke-God, Lickitung’s power seems a little… underwhelming, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love the strange fellow all the same. At least in the newer games, it doesn’t need to be named MARC.

To evolve Lickitung into Lickilicki in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl you need to simply level up your Lickitung while it knows the move Rollout. This move technically can be learned at level six, but it’s quite rare to have a Lickitung at that low of a level unless you have bred them.

In the likely event that you’re trying to evolve a higher-level Lickitung that has not learned the move Rollout and won’t have another opportunity to do so since it’s higher than level six, you’ll need to relearn the move instead.

The Move Relearner in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl can help you relearn Rollout. You can find them in the house located northeast of the Pokemart in Pastoria City. Get that taken care of, and you’ll be all set.

That’s all you need to know for how to evolve Lickitung into Lickilicki in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. For more FAQs answered and other tips, tricks, and guides visit our Pokemon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond guide wiki.
