How to Pick Locks in Elex 2

The first thing to know to pick locks in Elex 2 is that locks don’t require finding any sort of sweet spot. Nope, for this game, it is all about finding the lock’s unique pattern. Unique only because it doesn’t change, other locks of the same difficulty might share a pattern; there are plenty of chests to break into in Elex 2.

How to pick locks in Elex 2:

  1. Once you have the lock on screen, you will want to find the two side-by-side pins that stay up.

  2. These pins will either be found going left to right across the lock, or right to left from the far end.

  3. Once you have found these pins, work your way to the pins to the left or the right of the pair. If they all drop, then your pick will likely break, and you must start the pattern all over again from the two pins.

  4. Note: the pattern doesn’t change, so you are free to figure it out incrementally.

  5. You don’t have to worry about being delicate, either. The only time your pick breaks is when you make a mistake on the pattern, and even then, the game is full of lock picks to find, so there’s no actual issue.

It is also important to note that if you save before you pick locks in Elex 2, you can keep reloading your save and picking the lock over and over again to eventually get the trophy/achievement for picking 100 locks. Yes, it is just that easy.
