How to Two-Hand Weapons in Elden Ring

Usually, you will find yourself equipping a weapon with a shield as the most basic setup for characters in Elden Ring, however, it does not take away your ability to two-hand anything in the game.

To do so, simply hold Triangle/Y, and press either L1/left bumper or R1/right bumper to choose the armament you want to two-hand. It could be a sword, a spear, or even a shield, and two-handing will give you more of an advantage when it comes to dealing damage.

In addition, enemies’ shields or hard surfaces will no longer cause your weapon to be reflected back, but it comes at a cost of speed. To go back to one-handing your weapons, simply use the same process or switching your current equipment with the D-pad. By finding the right balance, you can take advantage of two-handing while keeping yourself going for a longer time.
