How to Beat Red Wolf of Radagon in Elden Ring

For a start, the recommended build is that you be at around level 35-40, whether it be a melee-focused or ranged build. As a more gigantic cousin of the various wolves you can find in the game, the Red Wolf of Radagon is a much tougher proposition.

The fight takes place in a contained space, and with the boss maintaining much of the control here, all you need to worry about is having enough space to dodge attacks. It is ideal to stay close to the middle of the room and avoid the corners.

To effectively beat the Red Wolf of Radagon, you will need to stay out of close range, play defensively, and only strike conservatively when a window opens up. All of its combos have a maximum of three hits, and you do not have much time to counterattack with a successful dodge or when its attack misses. The best opportunity to get some damage done is after its leaping slash, but even then, you should only get one or two swings in. If you are able to summon some help using Spirit Ashes, they can be great distractions for the boss as well.

When it uses projectiles, you can avoid all of them by just sprinting sideways. When you spot the Red Wolf of Radagon laying down either a singular or trio of swordtraps, it is preparing for a long-ranged lunge, rolling at the right moment just before it hits you can help you avoid all the damage.

If you are looking to stun the boss or even cause it to flinch, it is nearly impossible. However, keeping the pressure up with throwables alongside your regular melee or ranged attacks can eventually cause it to stagger, opening it up for a critical hit. Jumping strong attacks can help, but with the small window, it is not exactly advisable.

Keep your distance, pepper it with spells/ranged attacks, and take a stab once it misses its attacks. This is a battle of attrition, but otherwise, there are no other nasty surprises waiting in the fight against the Red Wolf of Radagon in Elden Ring.
