How to Spend Skill Points in Dragon Quest XI

Recommended Videos

Dragon Quest has made its way back to the west with the release of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, a new entry in the series which offers players an expansive new world to dive headlong into. The latest entry in the series, Dragon Quest XI provides a new setting to explore in the form of Lotozetasia, a land on the verge of being dragged into darkness by the Lord of Shadow, a dark and mysterious figure set on reviving an evil force. To that end, players take the role of a chosen hero and venture across the land in search of allies to assist them in stopping this threat, along with any other obstacles which might threaten the peace of the world. To succeed in their journey, the player and their party will need to gain experience by battling monsters and bosses scattered throughout the overworld and in dungeons. Once enough are defeated, each character will level up and receive skill points which can be allocated to new stats and unlock abilities.

These skill points can be used immediately or saved for use at a later time from the main menu.

To access the characters’ skill grids and use saved up skill points, players can pull up the main menu with the Triangle button. From there, they can go to the Miscellaneous section and select the Character Builder option. Each party member and their respective skill grids can be selected and their skill points divided up among whichever stats the player prefers.

That’s all you need to know to spend skill points in Dragon Quest XI.
