Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Yamcha Mentor / Master Quest Guide

Yamcha’s Initiation Test in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Recommended Videos

Yamcha can be a mentor in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Why he’s allowed to do so is up for debate, honestly. But he is. And you can learn some moves from him if you want to. You know, it’s a little tough to figure out why you would, other than maybe for an achievement and trophy.

Where is he? You can find Yamcha up the stairs past the Time Portal. Once you do, you’ll start the initiation test. All you have to do is wail on him. You won’t have to use the Fake Death super he taught you, just continue pummeling on his pretty face. After he goes down to a certain health, you will have completed the match.

For completing this, you get the following rewards:

  • 100 Zeni
  • Fake Death

You’re now Yamcha’s mentee! Congratulations? Keep in mind that if you’re not able to progress in the lessons, it means you need to progress in your advancement tests at the school (lower left-hand corner of the map).

Lesson 1: Wolf Fang Fist in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Yamcha’s first lesson will have you tackling his famous Wolf Fang Fist. You’ll have to beat him using his own move. It’s as simple as that! Just get up close and land it a couple of times.

For Completing this, you get the following rewards:

  • 200 Zeni
  • Wolf Gang Fist

Alright, time to continue on with his lessons.

Lesson 2: Ki Blast Thrust in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Your next lesson will have you utilizing Yamcha’s Ki Blast Thrust, which is charged up punch that is actually decently powerful. In order to prove that you’re worthy of learning this Super you’ll have to practice on some poor Saibamen that are around. Once you’re all done you’re ready to head on to the next, and final, lesson.

For completing this, you get the following rewards:

  • 300 Zeni
  • Ki Blast Thrust

It’s time to learn Yamcha’s ultimate attack.

Lesson 3: Spirit Ball in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Yamcha is ready to teach his most powerful ultimate attack to you, the Spirit Ball (not to be confused with the Spirit Bomb). You’ll have to use it against him, but like the previous fights, it’s not very difficult at all. Just keep the pressure up and you’ll beat him really fast.

For completing this, you get the following rewards:

  • 400 Zeni
  • Spirit Ball

That’s another mentor under your belt. For more on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, make sure to check out our wiki.
