Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: How to Charge Your Energy (Ki)

How to Charge Energy (Ki) – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Recommended Videos

While playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, you will notice that during battles you have a few different bars you need to pay attention to. The top one is your life, and the bottom one (blue) is your Stamina. The middle, orange bar is your Energy (also known as Ki). This is what powers your super and ultimate attacks with the exception of Evasive Skills (those are powered by Stamina alone). You actually eat up quite a bit of this bar while fighting, so you will definitely want to charge it whenever you get the chance to do so. Thankfully, there are a few ways to charge during battle:

Attacking – Simply attacking your opponent with basic attacks will charge up some of your energy.

Getting Attacked – Getting attacked by your opponents will also give you some Ki, though you probably shouldn’t rely on this method too much.

Items – You can use Ki Recovery Items that you earn from completing quests, find on the floor in the hub worlds of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, or purchase from the shops.

Skills – There is a skill called Energy Charge that you can use to manually gather Ki in the middle of battle. You unlock the most basic form by completing the first Advancement Test in front of Orange Star High School located in the lower left hand corner of Conton City. It is triggered like a special attack but it uses none of your resources. The best thing to do is knock an enemy back or down and use the short window to get a bit of charging in.

That’s all there is to charging your ki! For more Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 tips, be sure to check out our wiki!
