Dragon Ball FighterZ: How to Play Gohan (Super Moves and More)

How to Play Gohan in Dragon Ball FighterZ (Super Moves and More)

Recommended Videos

The son of Goku definitely isn’t the easiest character to pick up and master from the get-go mostly due to his short statue when compared to other fighters in Dragon Ball FighterZ. His regular attacks unfortunately just don’t have a whole lot of range. This being said, a lot of Gohan’s usefulness comes by way of the super moves he can perform while on the ground.

Keep in mind that the following set of super moves for Gohan all use up one gauge from the super meter, meaning you’ll need to successfully pull of a chain of attacks or Ki Charge before executing any of these commands in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

For starters, Five Strike Combo has Gohan assault the enemy with a high speed string of teleportation kicks that knock the enemy straight into the air. It can be performed by pressing 🡣🡦🡢 simultaneously with X, Y, or B, depending on how your controls are configured. You can add more attacks to the combo should you perform other specials right after the initial flurry is complete.

The Dragon Flight move is another simple yet effective means of getting the opponent up into the air, only this time with a charged uppercut. Perform it by pressing 🡣🡧🡠 with X, Y, or B in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The Aerial Kick essentially packs the power of the Five Strike Combo until one move that can be executed in mid-air. Press 🡣🡦🡢 simultaneously with X, Y, or B to unleash a series of strong kicks on the enemy when up above the playing field.

Moving on to Gohan’s heavier tier of special moves, the No Motion Kamehameha is an especially useful move should your opponent be on the opposite side of the screen. Use it by pressing 🡣🡦🡢 and the right bumper or the right trigger.

The Father-Son Kamehameha has Goku join in for an impressive ray of light that takes up the majority of the screen and is quite impossible to outmaneuver in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Perform it by pressing 🡣🡧🡠 and the right bumper or the right trigger, but keep in mind that it takes up three gauges on your meter.

Last but not least, the Father-Son Kamehameha Full Power can be unleashed by pressing any button while the No Motion Kamehameha or Father-Son Kamehameha are in action. This Dragon Ball FighterZ super move takes up two gauges on your meter and ignites the opponent in a dizzying spectacle of light very much in the same vein as the Father-Son Kamehameha.

That should cover all the super moves that Gohan has in his arsenal in Dragon Ball FighterZ. For more tips on how to use each move effectively in combat, check out a video by way of YouTube channel Maximilian Dude down below.
