How to Assist Attack in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Recommended Videos

While just about any of the characters can hold their own in a fight, there’s going to be the odd occasion where an extra pair of hands (or flailing legs) could be just what you need to turn the tide of the fight in your favor. That’s where being able to pull off an assist attack flawlessly will come in useful in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

To assist attack in Dragon Ball FighterZ, all you need to do is tap either L1 or L2 (LB or LT on Xbox One) to trigger an assist attack. L1 will cause the character whose health bar is immediately below your current fighter’s to assist attack, while L2 will cause the character below them (at the bottom of the three) to lend a helping hand.

Remember, if you want to do this, make sure you’re only tapping the button that corresponds to the fighter you want to jump in. If you hold the button, it will switch out your fighters – a potentially disastrous move if unintended.

That’s all you need to know to pull off assist attacks in Dragon Ball FighterZ. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
