Is There Co-op Multiplayer? Answered

Currently, there is no form of co-op multiplayer in Doom Eternal. If you’re looking to slay demons with your friends, you’re out of luck.

This, of course, could be added as DLC or in an update further down the line, but at this time there is no co-op multiplayer. It’s just one Doom Slayer vs. the world.

Doom Eternal also ditched the Snapmap feature from Doom (2016) which allowed players to custom make maps and game modes for the community. This is how you were able to play co-op multiplayer Doom experiences in the last game.

The closest game mode that Doom Eternal has to co-op multiplayer is the brand new Battlemode. This pits two player-controlled demons against one player-controlled Doom Slayer.

Having to work together with your fellow demon to make sure you can both overwhelm and exhaust the Doom Slayer will certainly be a challenge. Be sure to check it out if you’re looking for a change of pace.

While this isn’t exactly the co-op mode you may have had in mind, it is certainly a fun way to play with a friend or two. Seeing if you can outsmart and outgun the Doom Slayer.

There is still plenty of ripping and tearing to be done in the campaign though. Slaying demons with your ever-growing arsenal of weapons will surely be plenty to sink into for the time being.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about if there is co-op multiplayer in Doom Eternal. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out our extensive Doom Eternal guide wiki or just search Twinfinite.
