The Division 2‘s decaying version of Washington D.C that has been hit by the Dollar Flu is extremely dangerous. You’ll need to make every skill your character has feel second nature. Here’s everything you need to know about how to roll in The Division 2.
No matter whether you’re hunkered down behind some cars on Washington’s open streets or leaning around tight corners in the complex buildings that many missions take place in, the enemies in the game put up a decent fight, so the roll move is important to learn.
Ubisoft’s new sequel is actually a pretty tough game, so whether you’re facing standard enemies or more powerful bosses, you’ll often have to get away from a fight to heal and regain your composure.
While sprinting can help you get long distances quickly, you’re still in the firing line and you will likely lose most of your health as you try to flee. Thankfully, although you won’t move far, the roll move in The Division 2 allows you to move position quickly without taking damage.
To roll in The Division 2, all you need to do is double tap X (A if you are playing on Xbox One and the space bar if you’re on PC) and aim the left analog stick in the direction you want you character to go.
It takes a little while for your character to recover after a roll, so it’s not easy to chain them and roll around the place, but it allows you to get to a new piece of cover quickly without losing a huge chunk of your health or armor.
